4 days/ 3 nights exploring the wonderful Amazon and Marañon Rivers towards the “Parque Natural Amazonico” (Amazon Natural Park), one of the most interesting destinations during your stay in the jungle, we will enjoy the suspended bridges, giant trees and enchanted lake.
This great adventure designed for those nature lovers who do not have much time to travel, this will offer a good view of life in the Amazonia; from exotic birds, glad gray and pink dolphins, to the home of the river people, local inhabitants of the margins of the rivers, heirs of a vast culture.
Our classic vessels, built in early 19th Century style will be our base for the route throughout one of main the tributary ones of the Amazon river: the Marañon river, which will mark the rules for numerous excursions and activities to explore the incredible flora and fauna of the Peruvian Amazon basin.
 

 

 

 

 

Amazon Voyage “Regular Cruise Program with Camping”
Day 1: Iquitos / Marañon River
We depart from Lima (Capital city of Peru) on an afternoon flight.
Upon arrival to Iquitos city in the Amazon around 6 pm, our local naturalist guides will meet us at the airport, from where we will take a 1 hour bus ride through tropical farmland to the small river town of Nauta, one of the oldest in the Amazon and main warf of our operations in the Marañon river. Our boat La Turmalina will be waiting for us at the port. Upon arrival we set sail toward the Marañon River and our naturalist guides and crew will brief the boat emergency drill of the boat , how to get to the passenger muster station and the use of life jacket. During navigation we’ll be introduced to the Amazon Local Culture and our routine for the next four days. Dinner we’ll be served in the air conditioned dinning area. Upon arrival at “The Marañon Suites Resort” we stay overnight onboard.
 
Day 2: Marañon River / Amazon Natural Park / Tented Camp
After an early breakfast, our land portion of this trip will start visiting our Butterfly farm and doing some exciting Birdwatching in this very reach area. We’ll go paddling local canoes on the Enchanted Lake until where the Snakes breeding is located.
At noon, we’ll return to the park party area called "La Maloka" an indigenous construction of 24mts. height that will welcome us and where we’ll have a succulent musical lunch by to the pool. We would be able to use the pool and the relaxing areas all around. In the afternoon around 4PM we’ll start arrangements and preparation to go to the Tented Camp site where the local Shaman will celebrate a ceremony of gratefulness to nature and also for health and good luck.
 
Day 3: Kapok Camp / Amazon Natural Park / Pacaya Samiria Reserve
Early morning the activities start walking on Canopy walkways for bird watching and monkeys observation. Additionally for those who want to exercise a little bit more, we head to the point where we have to walk through a trail called "Ceiba Hike". Our lunch would be again by the Maloka with music alive. The pool and the bar can be enjoyed during this time.
At mid afternoon we’ll go canoeing and fishing on Tahuampa lake, a huge and pretty black water lake in the area called the “Jungle of Mirrors” because the forest of the borders reflects in the water.
By 3PM we’ll return to the boat and start navigation down stream back to Nauta city, visiting the Pacaya Samiria Reserve during the navigation navigating on speed boats Pucate creek. A farewell dinner would be the event of the night.
 
Day 4: Nauta / Iquitos
We’ll have an early breakfast. And our Voyage comes to the end as soon we get to Nauta river town, continuing our way to Iquitos airport to take the morning flight back to Lima.
 
Notes:
Note 1: (Optional.) If you want to stay one more night at Marañon Suites resort, passenger will be transferred to Nauta City on speed boat early in the morning.
Note 2: Activities can vary due to water level, bad weather or unpredictable nature reasons. It is not our purpose to alter the way of life of local communities in the Amazonia, so we try to visit different villages as much as possible every week, every trip.
 

 

 

 

 

Amazon Voyage “Transfer on speed boat & Camping”
Day 1: Iquitos / Marañon River / Pacaya Samiria Reserve
We depart this morning from Lima (Capital city of Peru) on an early morning flight Upon arrival to Iquitos city in the Amazon, Our local naturalist guides will meet us at the airport, from where we will take a 1 hour bus ride through tropical farmland to the small river town of Nauta, one of the oldest in the Amazon and main warf of our operations in the Marañon river.
Lunch will be served in a local restaurant before get underway on our speed boat. We set sail toward the Marañon River and our naturalist guides will brief the emergency drill of the boat and the use of life jacket. During navigation we’ll be introduced to the Amazon Local Culture and our routine for the next four days. In the afternoon, we’ll have an boat “skiff” excursion through narrow stream canals to sail into the Pacaya Samiria Reserve to search for wildlife.
Upon arrival at “The Marañon Suites Resort” around 6 pm we’ll get our accommodation assigned and wait for the first dinner at the dining room of the Marañon suites Resort . After dinner we’ll experience our first night excursion searching for caimans and night creatures around the lakes. Overnight at the Marañon Suites luxury accommodations.
 
Day 2: Amazon Natural Park / Tented Camp
Our land portion of this trip will start early in the morning with Birdwatching in this very reach area of the nature park, breakfast will be served at our return to the lodge. During the morning we’ll also experience the great feeling of releasing a butterfly cocoon before going paddling local canoes on the Enchanted Lake.
At noon, we’ll return to the park party area called "La Maloka" an indigenous construction of 24mts. height that will welcome us and where we’ll have a succulent musical lunch by to the pool. We would be able to use the pool and the relaxing areas all around.

Day 4: Nature Park / Nauta town / Iquitos city
Rising at dawn we leave this morning after an early breakfast to continue our journey down-stream to Nauta, approximately 1 hour of navigation, at this location we’ll board our bus to continue our way to Iquitos airport to catch the early flight back to Lima departing Iquitos around 10 am
 
This itinerary may vary depending on the weather and seasons that control the water level in the rivers and the wild life cycle to protect its natural habitat. Visits to the local villages are carefully planned to avoid a negative impact in their cultural identity.
